smart angels for
early stage companies

About Us

The Chicago Booth Angels Network of Chicago (CBAN Chicago) is a nonprofit, affinity organization founded and run by alumni of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Founded in 2019, Chicago Booth Angels of Chicago is part of the global Chicago Booth Angels Network. We believe early-stage companies need smart angels and high-caliber investors to bring capital, expertise, and valuable connections. We exist to support innovative ideas, provide quality education and learning opportunities to our University of Chicago alumni and affiliate members, and promote the Chicago Booth brand.

Membership

Membership is open to all alumni and affiliates of the University of Chicago who are accredited investors.  Whether you have been investing in early-stage companies for years or you want to find out more about how to get started (or even whether you should get started), we invite you to become a member.
As a benefit of your membership, you will receive access to prospective companies’ pitch decks and information prior to events, as well as member-only invitations to social, networking, and educational events throughout the year.

Startups

Entrepreneurs are always welcome to attend our pitch events.
Startups that apply to us do not have to be affiliated with the University of Chicago. We accept applications during our open application cycles throughout the year; applications are currently closed, but will be accepted via GUST here when they reopen.
